April 25th - 27th - Lundy

The club made it's first trip to the marine reserve at Lundy, off the Devon coast.
Despite the disappointment of being blown out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday bought better luck and conditions, and SEALS!

The landscape was stunning, but most impressive were the beautiful seals - amazing creatures who took a particular interest in the Whelan's fins!

The weekend was fabulous over all - loads of fun and an amazing experience.

Congratulations to Chris and Jess who completed their Dry Suit Orientation with Steve, and Rhiain who did her scuba review with Judith.

Also, well done to Jerry, Audrey, Mike and Stephan who all completed their comfined and pool training with Steve.

The role of honour continues ....

After a superb sunny day at Vobster (finally) Steve, Jack and Tony all achieved their deep and wreck specialties with Mel, John, Billy and Jake. Well done guys - a huge achievement

Meanwhile, at sunny Wraysbury, Sean, Linda, Matt, Sarah, Ady, Julian, Chris and Vic all completed their rescue diver with Nick, Judith and of course Robin! I am not sure Wraysbury has seen the likes of such a monster rescue course in a very long time!

Fabulous weekend - well done everyone (divers and staff!)

Busy night at the pool:

Jess and Chris completed their scuba reviews with Taff, Steve took Helen and Mark for their dry suit orientations and Sarah did a DSD with Rebecca

Meanwhile, Robin and Judith started the rescue course for Linda, Sean, Matt, Julian, Chris and Vic

April 13th 2009

Congratulations to Sean, Linda and Matt who completed their EFR Primary and Secondary Care with AED. Some amusing scenarios will be remebered for a long time!

Also Nadine, Gus, James and Ghada braved the cold and did their dry suit spec with Taff, John and Jon.
James and Andy also went on to complete their Advanced Open Water at Vobster - well done guys!

Finally, Diane, Linda, Alex and James all became Emergency Oxygen Providers - so we know who to dive with on our next trip!

April 4th / 5th 2009 - Aquanaut in Wittering

This weekend Aquanaut Dive Club hit Wittering for a great weekend of diving. Vis was good, the sun was out and all divers had a sense of humour!
The rib took us to a great mixture of dive sites and the trip was a superb way to start the season.
